About

Bungower Labradors is a family-owned breeder on the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria, run by Rob, Amanda, and their daughter Sam. They focus on breeding healthy Labradors, promoting the breed's loyal and intelligent nature.

After losing their first Labrador, Macey, the family welcomed Bonnie in 2017. Bonnie excelled in training, forming a strong bond with Rob and completing assistance dog training by 2020. She now supports Rob in social situations and aids his mental health. Bungower Labradors also commits to training and donating one puppy from each litter to help emergency service workers affected by PTSD.

Bungower Labradors was founded in 2021 with Luna, our light-colored yellow Labrador and first breeder. Luna is curious, smart, and sociable, training in therapy alongside Bonnie, and shares the typical Labrador traits of loyalty and affection, though she’s also known for stealing socks.

Our first litter was born in 2023, and Sadie, who is part of that litter, will join our breeding program in late 2025.

As first-time breeders, we found the registration process challenging but are grateful for the mentorship of Kristie at Sohali Spirit Labradors (VIC). While our waitlist for the next litter is long, we welcome any questions or inquiries.
